The author is a career patrol officer based in Ohio, with years on the road that include traffic-crash investigation and every kind of call a shift can throw at you — the decisions made in real time, the ones that stick with you long after the report gets filed.

That time on patrol is where every story in this book comes from. Teaching cadets and OPOTA-certified instructing came later — a way to pass on what the street already taught. No S**t There I Was… is written in that same voice: direct, a little dark, and allergic to sugar-coating.
